The Mid-Ohio Comic Con was my second "Con" of the year. I know a lot of people think that Con's are only for super nerds and comic geeks. Yes, that is true, but it's also very untrue.
While there is costumed folks and comic creators galore, it's also a place for kids at heart. There is a reason Christopher Nolan's Batman re-imaging, or the new Iron Man Franchise, Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, and more I don't have time to name, are successful. We are all Super Nerds and Comic Geeks deep down.
You don't have to be a super nerd or comic collector to embrace what Hollywood has made mainstream again. You don't have to be a super nerd or comic collector to enjoy comic con.
We all have fond memories of watching the Ghostbusters hunting ghosts and marshmallow men.. Comic Con lets you embrace it... and even TOUCH IT! Who doesn't hold a place in their heart for the zaps and zoinks Adam West and Burt Ward gave the bad guys when they donned their tights and masks.
So next time, when you see a grown man wearing tights, think to yourself -- how awesome would it be to have the guts to do that. Because trust me, these Super Nerds and Comic Geeks are in their element at Comic Con. And there is no place I'd rather be.
