“MIGRATIONS” LIVE BUTTERFLY EXHIBIT TO TAKE PLACE  APRIL 27TH TO JULY 7TH 2019

The majestic Monarch butterfly is famous for its astonishing annual 5000-mile migration from Mexico to Canada and back. Discover the paths and perils of the Monarch as you “follow” their route in this exhibit. You can also learn about the host and nectar plants we can provide for butterfly welfare along the route, as well as practices that can improve Monarch survival. In addition, you’ll discover other butterflies that migrate and some species that escape the winter cold without leaving home. In the midst of the exhibit you can enjoy a personal encounter with hundreds of non-migratory live tropical butterflies as they fly, feed, and offer an array of color.

The Conservatory’s Tropical and Desert Gardens will also be open during your visit. Public hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm, Thursday evenings ‘til 8 pm, and Sundays 12-4 pm. Admission prices are $5/adult, $3/child, and free for infants and toddlers age 2 and younger. For more information, call (260) 427-6440 or visit their website at www.botanicalconservatory.org.
