Bra Thoughts Every Woman Can Relate To
Maybe not as much during the COVID-19 quarantine, but on most days when women leave the house to go to work or take children to school and do other activities, we all have on our trusted over the shoulder boulder holder (did you ever call a bra that as a kid)?
For most of us, it’s a love-hate relationship. You love it when you find “the” bra, but then you wear it to death and dread the thought of replacing it. Karen from Chicago told Barbara’s New Beginnings that bra shopping is so grueling that she wears her good bras way beyond life expectancy (until she shopped at Barbara’s, of course!).
Hannah in South Bend said these days she’s living her best life, working from home, and letting her babies fly! For many of us working on the front lines or in essential work, it’s that moment of euphoria when you come home from a long day and you finally release the girls and give them a good rub down! Oh, come on, we all do it, right? Right?
“We can all relate to the awful indents from dumb wires and straps cutting into our skin all day long,” said Jenny from Fort Wayne. What do some women do when that happens? Amy from Chicago said when her bra becomes too uncomfortable at work, she casually unclips it for the rest of the day and hopes no one notices! Can you say peek-a-boob?
For the big busted ladies, have you ever heard boob sweat referred to as Mountain Dew? Or what about the new delicacy of Back Fat Rolls brought to you by bras that never fit?
The boob jails tend to have a hold on us, and sometimes too tightly of a hold. “I hate the jock-itch I get around my ribs from the elastic,” noted Dona from Fort Wayne.
For Cindy in Indianapolis, it’s trying to keep her perky A-cup boobs covered with dignity. “Finding an ‘A’ cup bra in a 36” back that doesn’t make me feel like I’m wearing a vice around my chest is next to impossible,” she lamented. “Or help me find a pretty bra that’s not all lacy and rough, leaving your skin red and raw, needing emergency wound care.”
Quarantining has been tough for many reasons. But I say we all live our best lives like Hannah! Give those girls a ‘get out of jail free’ card for the day, the week, or even the month.
When the world opens back up and we all go back to wearing a bra every day, make sure you’re wearing one that fits well and is so comfortable you aren’t waiting to take it off the moment you get home. Find your perfect dream bra at Barbara’s New Beginnings.
