Two EE’s Wine Pairings for Your Favorite Holiday Meals
By: Two EE’s Winery
The holiday season is such a magical time enjoyed by all, and we all need holiday cheer this year more than ever. As we look ahead to Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and the New Year, we have paired some of our favorite holiday meals with our locally made Two EE’s wine selections. We hope you enjoy them!
A Traditional Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving
For our annual Thanksgiving celebration with family, we enjoy turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet potato casserole, and dinner rolls. Whatever you eat with your turkey, we think you’ll love adding a bottle or two of our lively and refreshing Traminette to the menu.
Celebrate Hanukkah with Brisket and Latkes
Tender, slow-cooked brisket served with crispy fried potato latkes and applesauce is a traditional celebratory meal for Hanukkah. You’re likely also enjoying rugelach as a sweet treat after dinner. We think you’ll enjoy our rich and fruity 2018 Syrah as a delicious complement to your holiday brisket dinner.
Enjoy a Christmas Ham Dinner
Many families enjoy a ham together for the Christmas holiday. Our semi-sweet Riesling pairs perfectly with this main course that is often glazed with pineapple, orange, or cherry sauce. A cool sip of this semi-sweet white wine with its subtle citrus notes also goes well with the potatoes and vegetables served with the ham.
Roast Leg of Lamb for Christmas
Roasted lamb is another classic holiday entrée. Lamb is often seasoned with garlic and served with mint jelly, and it pairs well with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts or asparagus. We recommend our 2018 Pinot Noir as the perfect wine for your special holiday meal. If you have some guests who prefer their wine a bit sweeter, you could also serve a bottle of our seasonal semi-sweet spiced Noel Noir as a second option.
Ring in the New Year with Prime Rib
We’ve been waiting for this year to end since March, and 2021 can’t come soon enough. Since many families are scaling back the size of holiday gatherings and limiting travel due to COVID-19, it can feel like a special treat to splurge on an indulgent meal. Ring in the New Year by serving a prime rib dinner. Serve it with sides of fingerling potatoes and your favorite vegetables for a delicious, premium celebration. Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong when you pair a bold, full-bodied red with your prime rib. We recommend our new Winemaker’s Edition Cabernet Sauvignon, an ultra-luxe bottle meant for special occasions.

No matter how you celebrate the holidays, we have the wines to keep your family and friends saying “Cheers” season long. Visit us or follow Two EE’s Winery online, so you don’t miss any new releases and sales.
